My 2016 Reflection

NYE is one of my favourite days of the year… funny that its the last one too!
There’s something refreshing and exciting about letting go of the old and welcoming in the new – no matter what it might be!
I think it’s important, that before celebrating the new year, whether that be on the sofa with a Chinese or dressed up to the nines in head to toe sparkle, that we take stock of the year we’re saying goodbye to.
2016 for many was a hard one. Many British icons have passed away, most recently, Debbie Reynolds, Carrie Fisher and George Michael. Politics have been the most unpredictable, unbelievable in years with Brexit and the US presidential election!
However, we tend to focus on the negatives and that is not the best way to start anew.
Here’s some of the positive things that happened to me in 2016.
I graduated with a First Class Honours degree, which I cannot tell you, makes me burst with pride. After the past few years I’ve had, I couldn’t believe it! Proudest day of my life! I conquered my fear of flying by travelling to Menorca, my baby sister passed her driving test, my Mum, myself and my middle sister got new jobs and me and Joey celebrated our four year anniversary. Time flies!
So, at midnight, when I’m raising my glass of champagne, and kissing my loved ones, I’ll be reflecting on all the good things that happened in 2016, and waving goodbye to the bad. I can’t wait to see where 2017 takes me, and I’m looking forward to working hard on my blog.
I wish you all a wonderful, peaceful and happy new year,
Love ,
Em x
